Chicagoland Regional Council of Carpenters
Requirements:
• 17 years old to apply
• Original Social Security card
• High School Diploma, GED or transcripts showing completion of two years (eight credits) of high school
• Recommendation letter from local union OR letter of intent to hire from a contractor
• Physically fit to work as a carpenter
Entry Process: Through contractor sponsorship and apply in-person at Carpenters Training Center in Elk Grove Village; or apply at Carpenters Training Center. Candidates must pass an aptitude test measuring vocabulary, arithmetic, and reasoning.
Openings: Concrete Form Carpenters Apprenticeship will open from April 4th through May 6th
Ironworkers Local 444
Requirements:
• 18 years or older
• Current, Valid Driver’s License
• Proof of residency in Local 444 Jurisdiction
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Birth Certificate or other proof of U.S. Work Authorization
• Valid Driver’s License
Entry process: Applications will be accepted online. Candidates will need to produce all necessary documents and participate in an aptitude test, drug test and interview.
Openings: Accepting applications online through May 31st
Ironworkers Local 1
Requirements:
• 18 years or older
• Current, Valid Driver’s License
• Proof of residency in Local 1 Jurisdiction
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Birth Certificate or other proof of U.S. Work Authorization
• Valid Driver’s License
Entry process: When open, apply in person with all required documents
Openings: Expected opening in summer 2022
Teamsters
Requirements:
• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proof of age (Photo ID, Birth Certificate, etc.)
• High school diploma, high school transcripts showing graduation, or GED
• Illinois State Motor Vehicle Report, dated within 30 days of application
• Physically capable of performing the essential functions of the occupation
• Able to meet requirements of U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) for CDL
• $25 non-refundable application fee
Entry Process: Submit application at Illinois Teamsters Employers Apprenticeship and Training Fund.
Applicants must pass a drug and alcohol screening and obtain a medical examiner certificate per USDOT requirements. Accepted applicants will be required to take and pass the physical exam and the drug/alcohol test.
Applicants may be subject to a physical agility or fitness test on acceptance into the program.
Applicants may be subject to an aptitude test. Applicants must be fluent in English to participate in training.

Electricians Local 134
Requirements:
• Valid Driver’s License
• Original Social Security Card
• High School Diploma or GED
• High school transcripts showing completion of 1 year of high school algebra or IBEW equivalency course
• Proof of U.S. Work Authorization – Birth Certificate, U.S. Passport, Permanent Residency Card or Naturalization Certificate.
• $50 non-refundable application fee
Entry Process: Applications are taken year round every Wednesday from 9:00am until 11:00am. 6201 W. 115th St. Alsip, IL. Candidates will be required to complete an aptitude test, physical and drug screening

Bricklayers
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Physical capability to complete essential functions of apprenticeship
• Driver’s License
• $20.00 application fee
Entry Process: Apply in person at Bricklayers District Council Training Center in Addison, IL.
Openings: Applications accepted year-round; taking a class in May
Operating Engineers Local 150
Requirements:
• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED and a copy of High School Transcripts
• Live in IUOE Local 150 Jurisdiction
• Valid, current driver’s license
• Statement of physical ability to perform the work of an Operating Engineer from a physician
Entry Process: Apply at a IUOE Local 150 office location during application period. Candidates will be
evaluated based on prior skills, licenses and experiences. Candidates will be selected for a 5-day skills evaluation incorporating hands-on exercises and an oral interview.

Sheet Metal Workers Local 73
Requirements:
• 17 years or older
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Birth Certificate
• Valid Driver’s License
Entry process: Apply in person during openings at Sheet Metal Workers Local 73 Training Center.
Candidates will be invited to complete an aptitude test, and will be required to pass drug test, and a physical exam.
Openings: Not open at this time; planning to open in Summer 2022
Chicagoland Laborers Training and Apprentice Fund
Requirements:
• 18 years or older
• Social Security Card
• Driver’s License
• High School Diploma, GED, or transcript showing completion of 10th Grade
Entry Process: Contractor must hire candidate and complete a Sponsorship application on Laborers’ website. Contractor will make a good faith effort to employ hired candidates for 2 years.
Additional Information: All new hires are required to join the Laborer’s Union.
Openings: Year-round, with contractor sponsorship via Training Fund’s Website.
